Today was a pretty good day. I have been getting a lot more sleep and I feel rested. I plan on continuing this trend. Being rested is a great motivational tool. I am able to stay focused and since I gave up caffeine it is a better environment overall. The idea of relying on nothing to keep me active is a good one. I do plan on a lot of sleep this weekend with a little work mixed in.

A little distraction makes everything seem more valuable. And that is the new driving emotion. I like that, I really do. More action with less stress is a plan that I can really get behind.

So I’ve been thinking of ideas for jumping over this little plot barrier I ran into. I wouldn’t call it writer block, but I would call it a blocking issue. There are a lot of ways to bypass it, but only a few would make things seem realistic. Fantasy story, Sci-Fi, or other genre, doesn’t really, matter. As I have mentioned before, a little realism is needed to keep the story grounded. Drawing the reader in and keeping them hooked can be tough enough without having to worry about dancing around unrealistic expectations.

Either way, things are looking up. Small steps are the best to make the biggest change.

I have no idea what to write tonight. I really do not have the motivation to do it and it bothers me a little bit. It will be a different story this weekend I hope. However tonight will be a repeat of last night. I will be going to bed early and resting.

I was thinking that this weekend I need to get a few things up on the wall. I will see about that when the time comes.

It’s going to be an early night. I am going to go to bed in a little bit. If I wake up early then so be it. Sleep is something we all need and when you can get extra it is a very good thing. Depending on how I feel in the morning I might drive. The weather is clear and I want to make sure that I get to drive the car at least once a week.

I am still considering trading the car in later this year but I will think about it some more before acting. With enough thought any action makes sense.

When you are writing a story you can easily take for granted the idea of normalcy. It becomes commonplace to sidestep the concept of fairness and equality. After all normal is anything you choose to make it. However in some cases you have to rely on the idea of something’s being normal if you want the rest of the story to come out right.

Normal is a goal to strive for and no matter what we expect, we have to find a way to keep the idea of normal from running away.
